Normally there is no check up for three months, but Owen's pediatrician wanted to do a weight check to make sure he was continuing to move in the right direction. Owen weighed in at 10 pounds 15 ounces gaining almost 2 pounds in a month. They also took his height and he measured 23 3/4 inches long. He grew 2 inches in a month. Dr. Perl was very impressed with Owen's growth so we no longer have to do any more weight checks, which I am very thankful. This past week Owen has also begun rolling over. He rolled over once before Christmas Eve, but now he has more control over it. He smiles at everyone and is really trying to talk to them. Owen has big time discovered his hands and puts them in his mouth at any chance. He moves them all around and makes fists. He is pushing up with his legs when you hold him and wanting to stand. Naps are becoming better during the day with Owen taking a good 3 hour nap in the middle of the day. This has been a huge help for me to get things done around the house as well as spend some quality time with Ethan. Nighttime is a different issue, but it definitely getting better. Owen will do a good 3 to 4 hour run in the beginning of the night, wakes around midnight to eat, then around 3am, and then 6am typically. If I do not fall asleep nursing him he has been doing better sleeping in his cradle as well. We are looking to within the next month transition him to his room and crib at night.
